Berkeley Arts & Letters presents informal evenings with writers and thinkers discussing their recent work and books in a variety of settings in and near Berkeley. Begun in 2009, after the closing of key literary event-producing Cody's Books, BA&L offers engaging, entertaining, and often provocative speakers.

All our programs are followed by book signing opportunities, and books are always available for purchase before and after programs. Our independent bookselling partner is The Booksmith in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury.
